Welcome to the Spazzavento Shooting Club (SSC)
Spazzavento Shooting Club was born in early Spring 2002 from a small group of friends who became interested in air-rifles. We’d get together ever sunday to practice 10m target shooting with low powered springers at an improvised outdoor range.
The club quickly grew, attracting new members, and we soon had enough people to open up categories for women and youth. We discovered the then new world of Hunter Field Target (HFT) and picked up a fall-flat target to have a look at this new sport. By autumn of 2002 we completed construction of a fully fledged HFT course in a private woodland with a small zeroing range to one side.
In May of 2005, we met with UKBR22 affiliates and joined the growing discipline of competitive Benchrest Shooting with airguns at its earliest stages.
The two disciplines are naturally interdependent in that the accurate zeroing of arms is fundamentally necessary before starting an HFT course. This new experience lead to a spontaneous growth and exchange between the two disciplines culminating in a combined championship nominated “Tiro Combinato”. A benchrest competition, followed by an HFT competition where point scoring is equally matched.
